The problem
A quantity between two published steps, a two-colour logo, and a budget that had to hold.
What we did
- Quoted the exact quantity by hand instead of forcing the next step.
- Showed the per-piece difference between the steps, freight included.
- Approved the two-colour artwork before the sample was made, so nothing was reprinted.
The detail
A buyer needed 750 pieces — between two published quantity steps, with a logo in two colours. The first instinct was to round up to the next step and hope the budget stretched.
We quoted the 750 as they asked, showed what each step actually cost per piece including freight, and let the numbers make the argument.
